Welcome to our engraving section. We do all kinds of engraving on all kinds of materials. The typical engraving material for electrical tags, office name plates or other forms of basic signage is multi-coloured acrylic. This comes in many colour combinations and provides a nice contrast.

 

Clear acrylic is another elegant signage material. The laser can make very shallow cuts which show up as white on the acrylic. This can be reverse engraved (engraved on the back side) to give a smooth viewing surface.

 

When your signage needs to be just that little bit more special and you don’t want to have to remove it from the walls to paint, or you don’t want to damage the walls with mounting, why not check out our aluminium or stainless steel standoffs. These pieces of metal make it easy to remove the sign if you need to paint the wall or to change it if you need a different sign. In three easy steps you can have an elegant sign.

 

Perhaps you just need a plastic backing for a vinyl sign? Laser cutting acrylic is fast and quite cost effective and provides a much better cut surface than using a saw. One look and you will never want to use a saw again.

 

We also have material for machinery serial number plates. The process is fast and the number plate can be customized with whatever information is needed, including bar codes, QR codes and engraved data. The material can also be stamped as well.

 

There are many other materials that can be engraved or cut. Check out this list for some common materials. Note, most soft materials can be cut, but there are a few exceptions, vinyl for instance creates Hydrochloric Acid when it burns and corrodes the machine, and Polycarbonates cut with a large brown burn mark.
